Please read these terms carefully before booking with us
- TERMS & CONDITIONS
- 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings.
- The remaining balance must be paid:
o Non-resident bookings: Not later than 21 days prior to check-in or travel
date.
o Resident bookings: Not later than 7 days prior to check-in or travel date.
In certain approved cases, installment payment arrangements may be offered at the discretion
of Tifapa Tours And Travel.
A confirmation voucher, travel itinerary, or service ticket will only be issued once 100%
payment has been received.
Failure to complete payment within the stated timelines may result in automatic cancellation
of the booking without further notice.
1.2 Accepted Payment Methods
Payments may be made through: - Bank transfer
- Mobile money (e.g., M-Pesa)
- Card Payment
All bank charges, transaction fees, and currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the
client.
1.3 Booking Conditions - Unless otherwise specified, quoted rates are based on standard room categories.
- Single occupancy rates, child policies, and room upgrades vary depending on the
property and will be confirmed at the time of booking. - Clients must provide accurate guest information, including:
o Full names as per passport/ID
o Number of adults and children
o Ages of children
Incorrect or incomplete information may result in additional charges, denial of entry, or re-
pricing at prevailing rack rates, especially for villas or private residences.
Special requests (including dietary requirements, adjoining rooms, bedding preferences, or
accessibility needs) must be communicated at the time of booking. While every effort will be
made to accommodate such requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
Clients are responsible for maintaining proper conduct at accommodation properties and
during tours. Any damage caused by guests may be charged directly before departure or
invoiced thereafter.
2. CANCELLATIONS BY THE CLIENT
Tifapa Tours And Travel operates under a structured cancellation policy due to advance
payments made to third-party service providers.
Cancellation Charges: - The initial 20% deposit is non-refundable.
- 90–46 days before travel: 20% of total booking value charged
- 45–29 days before travel: 50% charged
- 28 days or less prior to travel / No-show: 100% charged
Certain services including flights, travel insurance, park fees, and special promotional rates
may be strictly non-refundable.
Where third-party suppliers impose additional penalties, such charges will be passed on to the
client.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed after deducting all incurred costs.
3. TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring they possess: - Valid passports (minimum 6 months validity from date of travel)
- Required visas
- Health documentation and vaccinations
- Any other entry or transit documentation
Tifapa Tours And Travel shall not be held liable for denied boarding, denied entry, penalties,
or costs arising from incomplete or invalid documentation.
4. LIABILITY & ROLE AS AGENT
Tifapa Tours And Travel acts as an intermediary between the client and third-party service
providers including but not limited to: - Hotels
- Airlines
- Transport companies
- Safari operators
- Activity providers
While we exercise due diligence in selecting reputable partners, we do not own or control
these service providers.
Accordingly, Tifapa Tours And Travel shall not be liable for: - Injury, illness, accident, or death
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Service delays, schedule changes, or cancellations
- Acts or omissions of third-party providers
Participation in any tour, safari, excursion, or activity is undertaken at the client’s own risk.
5. FOREIGN EXCHANGE POLICY
Where services are quoted in foreign currency, currency conversion shall be based on the
prevailing daily exchange rates provided by I&M Bank Kenya on the date of payment. - Payments made in Kenyan Shillings (KES) for foreign currency services will apply
the bank’s applicable conversion rate. - Payments made in foreign currency for services quoted in KES will also be subject to
the prevailing conversion rate.
Clients may choose to settle payments directly in USD, EUR, or KES to the designated
account.
6. FLIGHT BOOKINGS
All flight bookings require 100% payment prior to ticket issuance.
Clients acknowledge that flight schedules, routes, and timings are subject to change by the
airline without prior notice.
Tifapa Tours And Travel shall not be responsible for: - Airline schedule changes
- Flight cancellations
- Missed connections
- Fare differences imposed by airlines
Any additional costs arising from airline changes (including accommodation, rebooking fees,
or fare adjustments not covered by the airline) shall be borne by the client.
7. FORCE MAJEURE
Tifapa Tours And Travel shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from
circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: - Natural disasters
- Acts of God
- Civil unrest
- Government restrictions
- Pandemics
- Strikes or industrial action
In such circumstances, refunds or credits will be subject to supplier policies.
8. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
Client information is collected solely for the purpose of facilitating bookings and managing
travel arrangements.
Personal data may be shared with relevant service providers strictly for operational purposes.
Tifapa Tours And Travel will not disclose client information to third parties without consent,
except where required by law.
9. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Issuance of an invoice and/or receipt of a deposit or full payment constitutes acceptance of
these Terms & Conditions.
Upon payment, a binding agreement is formed between the client and Tifapa Ventures Ltd
trading as Tifapa Tours And Travel.
